elumatec big-hitters take centre stage at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2020

 

At the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE trade fair in Nuremberg from 18 to 21 March 2020, elumatec AG will be presenting its innovative products, intelligent software and fully flexible future-oriented solutions that suit every size of business and meet every requirement. The global market leader in machines for processing aluminium, PVC and steel profiles will be putting the spotlight on its innovative technology and showcasing its profile machining centres (SBZs), double mitre saws (DGs) and software solutions eluCloud and eluCad. A total of eight machines will be on display at our redesigned and eye-catching Stand 512 in Hall 3A, including larger models such as the DG 142 XL double mitre saw and the SBZ 628 XXL profile machining centre, and visitors will have the opportunity to see these and many other all-rounders such as the popular SBZ 141 profile machining centre in action.

 

An overview of trade fair highlights:

  • The DG 142 XL, a surprise guest at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE with new technology and a new look.
  • The SBZ 628 XXL, the largest of the 628 series, with up to eight spindles for routing and drilling, a linear servo drive and fully automatic residual piece processing for maximum flexibility.
  • The SBZ 141 profile machining centre, featuring autonomous clamp positioning and an ergonomic machine bed.
  • The SBZ 151 Edition 90 profile machining centre, the largest 5-axis model with a modular design.
  • The SBZ 609 downstream centre, the largest downstream centre with an internal gripper and lifting function for reinforcement screw driving.
  • The SBZ 122/75 profile machining centre, winner of the German Design Award, offering speed and precision in operation and a pioneering visual design.
  • The SBZ 122/70 Plus profile machining centre, an all-rounder for small businesses that sets new standards in terms of dynamics, efficiency and intelligent control technology.
  • The DG 244 double mitre saw, with freely accessible support tables and a large saw blade diameter to make cutting easy.

 

A total of 800 companies will be presenting innovations and ideas from the window, door and façade construction sector at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, and elumatec AG will use the trade fair to showcase exciting products and discuss all things profile machining with visitors from trade and industry. “We aim to embody reliability and proximity to our customers”, says Frank R. User-friendliness and the potential for further optimisation to benefit customers are key priorities for the company – such as the new software solution eluCloud, which makes working with elumatec machines easy no matter what the requirements of individual customers.

 

DG 142 XL: thinking big with many new features

The popular DG 142 double mitre saw range has been expanded with the DG 142 XL double mitre saw, a larger model with a new look and new technology. This versatile saw comes with the latest safety equipment and has a larger cutting range, making it ideal for the single or multiple cuts customers need to make every day. It is ideally suited for 90° and 45° cuts, is available with cutting lengths of 3,000 mm, 4,500 mm and 6,000 mm, and can be configured with optional extras such as label printers, enhanced software, roller conveyors and a pulsed coolant system in order to meet exact customer requirements.

SBZ 628 XXL: Large, innovative, fully automatic

The largest model in the 628 series allows a wide variety of aluminium profiles to be machined safely, quickly and with full automation. As standard, the SBZ 628 XXL profile machining centre is equipped with five support swing arms, eight lifting rollers (with an option for a ninth), a pivoting gripper and travelling clamps to help users work as efficiently as possible. This specialist machine for window, door and facade processing also features a linear servo drive, fully automatic residual piece processing and up to eight spindles for routing or drilling. A further benefit is that the machined profiles are placed gently onto the unloading magazine. Versions with equipment customised to meet specific customer requirements can be designed on request.

SBZ 141: Four axes, maximum user-friendliness

The 4-axis SBZ 141 profile machining centre offers short tool change times, a range of machining lengths, autonomous clamp positioning, a stable machine bed and an improved feeding position thanks to a repositioned zero edge – to name just a few of its exciting features that make life easier for operators. It can be equipped with eight on-board tools, comes with certified, drive-integrated safety functions, and features two separate working zones to enable machining in shuttle operation, all of which makes working with this powerful all-rounder economical, efficient and safe.

SBZ 151 Edition 90: elumatec’s largest 5-axis model

The modular design of the SBZ 151 Edition 90 profile machining centre makes it one of elumatec’s most versatile profile machining centres, as it allows the optimum machining length for every requirement. One major project where the large 5-axis SBZ has proved its capabilities is the construction of the dome of the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

SBZ 609 Downstream centre: the master of reinforcement screw driving

The SBZ 609 downstream centre, elumatec’s largest downstream centre for PVC profiles, allows customers to configure their operating sequences to suit them, no matter whether they prefer to work from right to left or vice versa. Its powerful features include an internal gripper and simultaneous reinforcement screw driving with a lifting function at an external station.

SBZ 122/75: Extremely fast, extremely precise

The intelligent ergonomics of the compact SBZ 122/75 profile machining centre make it easier to operate and clean, and are part of the reason why it won the German Design Award. The largest model in the 122 series allows extremely fast and accurate machining, and it is also energy-efficient: this powerful machine uses 30% less energy than previous models.

DG 244: Cutting from below at the highest level

The DG 244 double mitre saw, with saw units that pivot and tilt universally and freely accessible support tables for maximum flexibility in operation, allows tall and wide profiles to be cut and all kinds of compound mitre cuts to be made quickly and simply. But what really makes the DG 244 stand out is the large saw blade diameter of 550 mm and its high precision thanks to its fixed zero point.

The new software solution for analysing operations, developed by elumatec in conjunction with its subsidiary elusoft, is sure to provoke considerable interest at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE. eluCloud collects machine, part and production data in real time and analyses it, helping users detect errors and continuously optimise processes. Also developed by elusoft and established on the market is the eluCad software, which makes digital programming of profile machining centres simple and is designed to suit how elumatec machines are used in practice by allowing full flexibility and user-friendliness.
